2026 Bronco

Sixty years, with Wildtrak reborn as a package

Bronco marked its 60th anniversary with a heritage package, new colors and a mid-year Wildtrak equipment group rather than another standalone series.

The 2026 U.S. Bronco retained seven named series while changing some important combinations. Stroppe Edition moved from two doors to four, Heritage gained an automatic-transmission choice with the 2.3-liter engine, and Outer Banks offered a 60th Anniversary Package. A March 23 production update brought Wildtrak back as a Badlands four-door equipment group.

This is an active model year. This page uses Ford's April 1, 2026 order guide and dated mid-year announcement; later revisions can change availability. Bronco Sport and non-U.S. Broncos are outside its scope.

Why it matters

Ford celebrated six decades without making anniversary graphics the whole story: 2026 also reorganized Stroppe, restored Wildtrak as a package and documented meaningful roof, paint and connectivity changes.

What changed for this year

Stroppe changed bodies
Stroppe Edition became a four-door series (E0B); Ford deleted its two-door configuration. [1]
Heritage automatic option
The ten-speed automatic became available with the 2.3-liter engine on Heritage Edition. [1]
Wildtrak returned as a package
For Broncos assembled on or after March 23, 2026, Ford offered Wildtrak equipment only on Badlands four-door, combining the 2.7-liter V6, automatic, Sasquatch, HOSS 3.0/FOX dampers and Black Appearance Package. [1] [5]

Base and Badlands offered two- and four-door bodies. Big Bend, Outer Banks, Heritage Edition, Stroppe Edition and Raptor were four-door only in the April order guide. [1]

Ford lists Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan as the final assembly location. [2]

Engines and transmissions

2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4
300 hp at 5,700 rpm and 325 lb-ft at 3,400 rpm on premium fuel; 87 octane minimum. It could use the seven-speed manual or ten-speed automatic depending on series. [2]
2.7-liter EcoBoost V6
330 hp at 5,000 rpm and 415 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm on premium fuel, paired with the ten-speed automatic. [2]
3.0-liter EcoBoost V6
Raptor's engine produced 418 hp at 5,750 rpm and 440 lb-ft at 2,750 rpm on premium fuel with the ten-speed automatic. [2]
EPA combined fuel economy
EPA's eight listed 2026 Bronco configurations span 15 to 20 mpg combined: 19-20 mpg for standard 2.3-liter records, 17 mpg for the 2.7-liter record, 17-18 mpg for Badlands and Sasquatch, and 15 mpg for Raptor. [3] This is a configuration range; use the exact EPA label for an individual vehicle.

Capability and specifications

Maximum trailer rating
Ford's technical sheet lists 3,500 lb with the 2.3- or 2.7-liter engines and 4,500 lb for the 3.0-liter Raptor when properly equipped. [2] Cargo, accessories, configuration and passenger load affect the actual limit.
Interior and cargo size
Ford lists four-passenger seating and 20.6 cu. ft. behind the second row for two-door models; four-door models seat five and provide 35.6 cu. ft. behind the second row with a hard top or 38.3 with the soft top. [2]
Sales/production status
The 2026 model year was still active at this page's September 11, 2026 review. No full-year sales or final model-year production total is presented. [1] A future year-end report can add calendar-year sales, clearly separated from model-year production.

Colors and interiors

New paint
Avalanche Gray and Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat joined the lineup; Wimbledon White was offered with the 60th Anniversary Package. [1]
Deleted paint
Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, Eruption Green Metallic and Carbonized Gray Metallic were deleted. [1]
Anniversary interior
The 60th Anniversary Package paired Ebony leather outer surfaces with Alpine-colored inserts, embossed seatback logos and red/Alpine cabin accents. [4]

Options and packages

60th Anniversary Package (51V)
Outer Banks could add Wimbledon White roof, Warm Alloy grille, Vermilion Red branding, leather seating, a special tire cover and Sasquatch hardware; Ruby Red or Wimbledon White body paint was required. [1] [4]
Wildtrak Package (67B)
Available only on Badlands four-door, it combined the 330-hp 2.7-liter V6, ten-speed automatic, Sasquatch, HOSS 3.0/FOX dampers and Black Appearance Package. [1] [5]
Connectivity choice
Ford introduced a Connectivity Package with one included year or a non-transferable seven-year one-time-purchase option; activation and network limitations apply. [1]

Safety and recalls

Recall snapshot
NHTSA's model-year query returned eight safety-recall campaigns that may include a 2026 Ford Bronco as of September 11, 2026. [6] Campaigns can be added or revised. Check the exact VIN at NHTSA and Ford.
2.3-liter engine campaign
Ford/NHTSA campaign 26V-343 includes certain 2025-2026 Broncos with 2.3-liter engines because an engine defect may cause loss of drive power. [7] Use the VIN lookup for inclusion and remedy status; not every 2.3-liter Bronco is affected.

Owner and buyer notes

Use the build date
The Wildtrak package and other mid-year changes apply to defined production timing. Check the door-jamb label and window sticker instead of assuming every 2026 has late-year content. [5]
Separate series from package
A 2026 Wildtrak is a Badlands four-door with package 67B, not a standalone Wildtrak series. The window sticker should show the package and component equipment. [1]

Run both Ford and NHTSA VIN lookups and verify the vehicle's payload/towing labels before purchase or use. [2] [6] [8]

1966 details, sixty years later
Ford introduced the original Bronco on August 11, 1965 for the 1966 model year. The 60th Anniversary Package used Wimbledon White, Vermilion Red lettering and wheel-center references to 1966 rather than simply applying a numbered badge. [4]
